Some beauty shots of the newly introduced TiVo wireless (802.11 b/g) USB network adapter - my first project at TiVo. Ain't it sexy? (pictures taken by Pete Conrad at TiVo)

The adapter in its operating position. The base really looks like it's metal because it is metal. It's not just painted plastic.
The metal base is also good for thermal performance (to dissipate the heat generated by the electronics inside).
The rim of the base has a beautiful brushed-metal finish while the flat surface of the base has a fine-sand texture. Beautiful!
The antenna is in the flip-up portion (dark gray piece) of the adapter. A subtle "click" during rotation tells you when the antenna has reached its optimal position.
Even the two LEDs (indicator lights) received careful consideration. Each end of the whitish "arc" illuminates to show Power and Link/Activity.
A rubber pad on the bottom keeps the adapter from sliding around. This, combined with the heft of the metal base, really helps keep the adapter in place.
