The 4-Runner's packed and ready to go!
Our first night's campsite at Dead Horse Ranch State Park in Cottonwood, just south of Sedona.
The night before, we got up around 1 PST to watch the Leonid meteor shower. Pretty spectacular - more shooting stars than I've seen in my entire life!
Roger setting off on the Cathedral Rock Loop.
Judy screamin' down the hill.
This was actually a bit scarier than it looks!
Judy riding along the babbling brook.
A beautiful shot of Sedona. Unfortunately, the vivid colors of the rocks are a bit washed out.
If you look closely, you can see Judy cruisin' along.
You can see her better here, a few seconds later.
Judy shows off her mountain biking prowess as several tourists watch on in amazement.
Judy flexes her shoulder for the camera.
Roger goin' over the rocky bumps.
Roger riding against an awesome backdrop.
Beautiful, but pictures don't even come close to doing this place justice.
Four pics in a row of Roger riding.
No one here, just some cool lookin' rocks.
Judy on the home stretch.
Wow, check out that monster drop! Git back you North Shore weenies!
At the end of the loop. Now THAT'S one cool ride!
Wow. The Grand Canyon is really, well, quite grand.
At the start of the South Kaibab trail (7260 ft).
We descended 4,780 vertical feet over 6.8 miles to Bright Angel Campground at the base of the canyon (2,480 ft).
It was a beautiful, sunny day, which was great for hiking but...
...not that great for photos as the bright sun tended to wash out the colors.
