Bend the Lines

I was surfing around on YouTube, the king of time-wasting sites, and found this great song. Not only do I find it catchy, but I really like the lyrics too.

For you acoustic guitar types, this is a really easy song to play. The chords are just G, C, and D, standard tuning. I prefer playing with a capo on the 1st fret, probably, you know, because of my booming bass voice ;-). However, if you want to play with the YouTube video, you’ll need to put the capo on the 2nd fret.

Judy’s probably sick of hearing this song since I’ve been singing/playing it over and over again. Anyhow, here are the lyrics I wrote down. I hope you like the song as much as I do!

Bend the Lines
by Creepy1 (that’s his YouTube handle, don’t know his real name)

Give me a photo I won’t hide
So I can show them how I used to feel inside

Before I walked in these shoes
When the colors were still in my tattoos

And I hope that it doesn’t look like me
I’m the last one I want them to see so…

Bend the lines and make me beautiful
And move the shadows til I’m gone
Make me as beautiful as you
Put the colors back in my tattoos

And I know that it doesn’t look like me
I’m the last one I wanna see so…

Erase the achin’ and the time
And close my eyes they look too much like mine
Let me believe this picture’s true
That the colors are still in my tattoos

You made me look the way I like to feel
And god I wish this could all be real
Nobody cared the way you do
You put the colors back in my tattoos

Nobody cared the way you do
You put the colors back in my tattoos

Update: Modified the lyrics slightly based on the corrections from Creepy1 on YouTube.
