Just for the record, mountain biking is still cooler. ;-) You're right, however, that I should have listened to your insightful preachings and enlightened words of wisdom. But alas, sometimes one must first stray before being able to see the light.

While we're on the topic of your eminent wisdom, what is your recommended approach towards attaining eternal happiness? Also, what are your thoughts regarding the meaning of life? ;-)

46 mpg with people and gear?!! That's awesome! Nice buy - I'm jealous!

I've preached good excercise and "socking it to OPEC" to you practically the whole time we were at HNS together. I'm sure Derek did the same. Your stock reply was always "oh I'm scared of the roads" or "mountain biking is totally cooler". Well I'm glad you've come to your senses, even if it took 5 years and the bay area to change your mind.

FYI, I am now "socking it to OPEC" in my new Prius. That is, when I'm not riding to work (once/week in summer). 4 of us with full backpacks fit comfortably on a trip to San Gorgonio this past weekend, and I got 46 mpg including climbing hills with all that extra weight.
